Plan your New Year’s Resolution NOW

If you want to have an amazing new year, you must lay the groundwork for success NOW. There are 3 key questions you need to ask yourself now if you want to succeed in 2016.

1. Ask why According to Tony Robbins, there are 7 muntitledain areas in life that determine how successful you feel: physical body, emotions/meaning, relationships, time, work/career, finances, and spiritual sense. On a piece of paper, list your 2016 goals per area in life. Next, write WHY you want to achieve each specific goal. For example, you may say, “I want to lose 20 lbs. BECAUSE I want to feel vibrant and healthy again.” This way you’ll switch to the positive mindset you need to achieve your goals.

2. Ask when It’s easy to think of our goals as impossible dreams, especially if we always precede our goals with the word “If.” “If I get the job…” “If I lose the weight…” Stop the if’s. Instead, ask “when.” “When do I want to get a new job?” “By when do I want to lose the weight?” Create a timeline with specific tasks per goal, and you’ll be much more likely to achieve them!

3. Ask what You must be able to visualize success. A great visualization exercise is to ask yourself what you will do first when (not if) you achieve what you want. “What will I do first when I get my new job?” “What will I do first when I lose the weight?” Imagine yourself doing that first thing, and you’ll be empowered to succeed!
